Is anyone here a dual major in physics and math?

I need some help with researching gender dysphoria and genetics. If any dual majors can help me that would be great. Firstly, I want to know about the SRY-gene, some genetics books and overall guidance would be appreciated.

/sci/ was there first board I browsed on this site.

Im a math major, so I browse it frequently. Sadly though, I’m not a DUAL major in both math and physics, so I don’t know much about the subject as I would if I was a major in both.

doing both for a physics major is usually not much more than a few extra math classes over what the physics degree already entailed, doing both for a math major would be a lot more extra physics classes. a physics degree is something a math major could easily complete even if the only free time was between shifts of the two full time minimum wages jobs they need to work to keep up with their rent, taxes and student loan interest payments

I feel like they’re different disciplines. As a math major, I actually find it boring. I am taking a physics course. I actually grew fond of math through physics, but most of it is engineering oriented and I doubt I could do that. This being said, I think the idea is that it isn’t as logical as math. However, I feel like logic is easier than doing calculations. I did differential equations, under an engineering course structure, and it was hell. The tests were super long, along with the homework assignments. Someone else who graduated from UC Davis took it, as they wanted to work as a teacher for my school and familiarize themselves with courses, and they agreed.

I think something more easy for me would be economics, which is what I’m doing. If physics was more math oriented, like logic/proof based, I think this statement would be true.

Overall, math is more high IQ than university/bachelors physics, it seems. But, they’re like two different paradigms. So I can’t compare them as they are.

I find engineering to be the worst. I can do English, economics, computer science, philosophy. But I don’t like doing stats or calculation based courses.

The jannies here are more liberal leaning. I never realized this until I stopped being progressive. Also: some of the mods of the /sci/ discord server were transgender. I suppose jannies here are less power hungry than plebbit, or any other website. However, compared to /his/, this is worse. I never get banned there. Only my posts deleted a couple of times. Some of the problems are those who report here. I got banned from /sci/ for 7 months because I said my birthday, then someone said "get out", then i got banned. I also hate that math is respected. Despite these trannies being fucking idiots- yet they are math degrees. Before WWII everyone was much better and less arrogant. Like Einstein, he was offered presidency and declined because he was smart enough to know having a degree, and being gifted, in physics doesnt equate to polymath god.
