Anybody with Asperger's or ADHD? Why am I so articulate (way above average) when it comes to writing or even thought but a complete moron when it comes to speech?
I constantly stutter and can't find the right words to express myself. Is it possible to improve or should I accept this as a trait of autism?

Aspie here and I have that same problem.

If I'm preparing for a public presentation, I have to write out what I'm going to say and then memorize it.

There is a speed / time difference
The slower you go, the faster and more advanced you actually are (ADHD etc)
The faster you go (in a certain way), the slower your actual output / development (being ""normal"")
Normal is not an absolute
And the absolute is not normal
There is a rush too and many people put pressure on others to match some kind of normality and speed of output

I think it has something to do with being unable to control their vocal intonation and facial mannerisms properly, so they come off as "jerky". I vaguely remember reading that antidepressants can help with this
