I was literally turning things around before lockdowns. I wasn't a shut in in high-school only at the uni. Was going to checkout clubs, was getting numbers, but then everything was canceled.

Let's begin with house parties. You're in someone's dirty HMO. The cool kids are smoking weed in the garden. There's always that one slutty blonde who is way too drunk and trying to show off. Then there's a fat brunette with the same goal. They both hate each other and will fight/cry by the end of the night. A drug dealer arrives and overstays his welcome, making everyone uncomfortable. Someone will try to fuck on the hosts bed. The host will find out and start screaming. Three people will throw up outside. You'll try to get involved in a drinking game, but there will be no space to sit down so you'll end up awkwardly leaning in the whole time. You get too drunk and either end up walking home alone or having a drunk girl on your arm and feeling weird because she's dtf but she's too drunk so it sort of feels like you're taking advantage of her but you're also drunk and you haven't had sex in a while so it's a bit awkward but then she almost passes out in a bush and her friend starts calling her phone frantically so you pick up and they run down the street to get her and start giving you dirty looks while you try to help her up on her feet. You feel bad but you don't know why so you just leave as fast as you can and try ring your friends but nobody picks up so you just stumble home and pass out on your couch.
This is typical of almost every house party.

Let's now talk about clubbing. You put on a well-fitting shirt and some 'smart' shoes and finish up with some cologne. Pre-drinks with friends can be fun. You split a bottle between yourselves. Someone smokes and you join them. You don't smoke but somehow you end up smoking 10 fags by the end of the night. So your taxi arrives and you all hop in. Spirits are high. You finally arrive at the club and you get in line. It's huge. It's cold and wet and half of the people are staring at their phones or have their backs to you so it's not like you can just start a conversation apart from asking for a light and going from there. You get to the front of the queue and the bouncer checks everyone's ID. He raises an eyebrow and looks you up and down while you shuffle in place. Your friend wore jeans and he says he can't come in. He argues and eventually you slip the bouncer some money and he lets you all through.
You spend the first 5 minutes finding the bar and the next 10 minutes waiting in line. You order a beer. Someone orders shots. You do the shots and try to find somewhere to sit. You sit down with your friends and you all look at the dance floor while slowly sipping your drinks. Within 5 minutes all of you are staring down at your phones. You go back for more drinks because you're not drunk enough to dance yet. You do this until you're too drunk to dance, but you're still sitting there. Your friend gets fed up and goes off somewhere. You lose him. You go to the toilet where someone is doing coke. The African manservant who sells lollipops and gum and offers you cologne gives you a sly wink and is upset when you don't give him a tip, so the next time you go you give him a big tip and he enthusiastically sprays you with tons of cologne. You go back and stumble around on the dance floor until you bump into a girl who hasn't got her arms around someone. Maybe you have a dance and share a kiss. Then you lose her and go back to your table. Repeat.

Okay look I read that back and I mistakenly made it sound more interesting than it really is. Honestly it's pretty fucking boring and you'd be much better off doing something normal rather than spending tons of money and time and sacrificing your health to spend time with boring normies.
