how would YOU estimate the remaining lifetime of a thread?

the variance would be too high on this board as it's slow enough to depend on who is currently browsing. You'd need a very big population and it wouldn't be very helpful

some threads have an interesting or so retarded it's interesting premise and so live a while
but probably more so at certain times, maybe people are more receptive to new ideas after dinner or whatever
so maybe some sort of word 2 vector and measure divergence from the normal language

also it seems we get hornier around the same time so a coffee thread with a hot lady pic maybe is more likely to live longer

- record bump rate per thread and board-wide new thread arrival rate
- run a bunch of randomized simulations w/ those parameters and different seeds
- return the average time the thread survives
