>>14398573>I'm arguing that ADHD IS a medical condition 1. ADHD is a make-believe concept so the question whether or not it is a medical condition instantly becomes irrelevant when the condition itself is badely defined in the first place.
2. If it is a genuine medical problem, how come that you can be forcibly treated for ADHD and also esp. for bipolar/schizophrenia? If you've got diabetes or heart disease, doctors can't force you to get treatment or so at least I was led to believe. But considering how the government wanted to force covid vaccinations, the game may have actually changed and medical issues are now something that the patient doesn't get to decide on anymore.
>the reason you're able to be so dismissive of itI'm not dismissive of your symptoms. I'm dismissive of the notion of ADHD as a real neurological thing. From my point of view, you're just a guy who for some reason (what you would call ADHD) failed at developing certain skills, for example the skill to properly shift attention, and should not have went to college.
>If you had, you'd know that 7 year olds don't have psychiatrists, they have pediatricions who are specialists in treating childrenThis differs from country to country, what they're called etc. Anyway, if you were treated by an actual pediatrician, then this already makes his ability and certification to properly treat your "ADHD" questionable. Unfortunately, especially in the USA, any doctor or even a bare therapist can write recipes so here we are.
>You'd also know that stimulants aren't as easy to come by as you say they areAgain, depends on the country but they're easy to get in the USA.
>and most doctors try avoid prescribing them, preferring therapy and other non-stimulant drugs first70 % of all boys diagnosed with ADHD are put on stimulant drugs so doctors are in fact very quick at pushing stimulants. They're also earning money from selling stimulant drugs. Helping the children and also helping their pockets. Convenient.
