Yeah she isn't going to have a great time.
Maybe instead of that she should try changing her environment instead. There's a million different things to try before jumping to irreversible meds- the reason they push it is because it's a "quick fix" (a shit bandaid) and it makes THEM money. Moolah. Big time bucks.
She's a fucking moody teenager who only became a human being about 9 years ago, has never been able to escape her family, and literally has less than half the capacity of a full grown human mind experiencing adult hormones for the first time in an effort to develop that tiny brain.
She's going to think she knows it all because from her perspective, she does. She needs to know how to function to the fullest she can in her own body, but she doesn't have the experience yet to realize that she doesn't actually know shit. That comes with age and time, and meds directly mess up that natural process of the body developing itself.
Things like "drink water" and "breathe right" or "exercise daily" or "floss twice once when you wake up and once before bed" seem utterly useless in her situation until you're in your mid-twenties and learn that mouth disease causes bodily harm elsewhere, plants without water wilt and we are chronically dehydrated because of social limitations, most people aren't breathing right or can't absorb enough oxygen (let alone pollution), etc. Society is literally poisoning her and the best thing you can do is keep educating her about the right choice.
