The problem with Math is that you have only TWO options (there is no in-between)

Here is the secret to gamble the system. Just do physics or chemistry instead of Math. While chemistry is pretty different, it still has the logical structure of math. And physics is the literal real life math.
I remember someone who studied physics and math and he said

If you are self employed or don't need to ever show your degree, the only thing that matters is how much you learn in your free time on your own.
