>>14377196>I don't believe in anything non-physical.I don't either and under the right teacher budhism can have a very close approach to this.
You can learn a lot from something even though it doesn't subscribe 100% to your views.
>meditation (which is basically just sitting down staring at a wall)No, it can be about a lot of things, for instance watching your thoughts and body reactions, trying to understand how and why your psych acts the way it acts, you could for instance be extremely aroused and start meditating in that moment, seeing from almost a dissociative perspective what you feel, what is this feeling, why are you feeling like that, meditation can be a powerful self analysis tool.
>When you say something "clouds" your judgment,What I meant is that you will be out of your baseline, you will act and do things you would not do otherwise, have you seen how a person that abused heroin indiscriminately for years act? It's not rational, it's as if they were not in control of their actions, and a lot of them aren't, some desperately wish they could just stop, but the urge is too strong.
>i've tried sitting down staring at a wall for several hours. Nothing happened except i was bored as fuck.If you undertaken meditation for the purposes of self analysis you have to understand that it is a work in progress and it will take a lot of time, you have to find the right content study, test, try again, observe yourself, it's a therapy on yourself, it won't be from one hour to the next and it can be frustrating.
I truly think many man that have great potential degrade themselves for something that in essence is quite ridiculous, maybe when I finish my current studies I'll observe this behavior for a while and publish something on it. They built incredible things to only give their powers away for a few moments of pleasure, I can understand the urge I still have these urges (though in much less degree when I started my journey), but rationally it's insane.
