So I am trying to enroll in this basic electronics and robotics program at my college and I'm trying to get the department head to give me an override so I don't have to take Algebra as a prereq but he wants me to send in a statement via email to why I shouldn't have to take Algebra and to bear responsibility if I can't hack the courses.
I told him I'm a licensed electrician by trade and the AC and DC theory classes will just be review for me, I know most of the AC and DC formulas, advanced Ohm's Law, calculating filters, Voltage Drop, Magnetism, RLC circuit calcs, I just forgot how to do quadratic equations and all of that Algebra shit, so what would be some other good reasons to state why I shouldn't have to take Algebra? This is a certificate program, not an Associates Degree I'm enrolling in.
