I know that today would be near impossible/impossible for someone to have "mastery" over several fields. However, what would be the trajectory of a polymath in the sense of someone with a very round arc or knowledge about our world, someone that studied as the classical "philosophers" did, when philosophy was not a specific field of study that it is today but a term used to describe the one who studied or seeks knowledge.
