>>14371369said, any news of "a new artificial organ" are I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE tier bullshit.
>>14370069put it quite well, manufacturing a functioning artificial organ is extremely complicated, moreover, it would be very expensive to develop it into an approved treatment and the final payoff for any investor would be very low. Why? Because it will always be much cheaper to kidnap and harvest a fine kidney or liver from some poor negro kid in a third world country.
All we have right now is artificial blood vessels, urethras or cosmetic implants (e.g. ear), I believe there is also artificial bone being used as treatment in the clinic. Everything else is not financially viable.
>>14370274Believe me, it's not that the top notch scientists have no idea how to create an organ. We have the technology to create any type of cell or tissue. It has much more to do with money.
