you can do it with electrogravitics; there might be other ways as well, but electrogravitics is well proven.
I haven't seen a working demonstration with gyros but I've seen it with electrogravitics.
in theory you should be able to do it with gyros, but I think the electric antigravity has a much bigger potential in terms of scale and reliability, and it can be controlled extremely precisely and can stop and change direction in an instant.
