Looks like the curve hurt the B and B- student. Under no circumstances should 4 points bump you up two whole grades.

thats me, i never did homework in highschool and never had a rigourous study schedule. I kept on passing with ~B all the time... Turns out uni isnt that lenient i got 1.5 GPA the first semester lol

My guess is the spreadsheet they were using has truncated and rounded the decimal because they tried to make the columns all fit on one sheet.

If they expanded the columns, they would display properly and add to 100.

What's dumb is at my school, the C is technically worse if you already had a good GPA because if it was a D, you'd be able to retake the class and wipe the old grade.
