Please feel free to dive into your own experiences with your friends and family and further inform me.
I'm thoroughly convinced that most people into their early 30s who are on adderall or currently dosing meth are suffering from a grave mistake in understanding behavioral patterns caused by entire generations (perhaps since the dawn of capitalism) deprioritizing sleep, giving them issues with memory, focus, and, perhaps most unfortunately, further sleep.
Since the advent of screens (TV first, perhaps earlier), not just "blue light" (more like "red herring) has been stimulating people during their later hours, and students are especially caught up in late nights. The idea that you're a "night owl" is everpresent, and further enforced by the fact that you're just up in the lights, caught in both social and pseudosocial stimulation that keeps you going.
Think about it--and this is where I'm going to lose a bunch of structure--why the fuck are people utterly dependent on caffeine in modern societies? You're not a fucking "morning person?" Oh, could it be because you haven't ever learned what the fuck to do with a bed to not seem utterly obliterated at all hours?
Furthermore, consider the drinking and eating habits of most people in America, let alone the European sphere: Fat, drunk bastards have sleep apnea. Even when you win the fucking lottery and get eight hours, it's fucking stolen from you by your goddamned liver.
I'll re-read and expand soon.
