So of the two remaining boxes you could choose:
If Box 1: 2 ball gold -> 1 gold ball remaining
If Box 2: 1 gold 1 silver -> 1 silver ball remaining
So the total probability should be (100% + 0%)/2 = 50% for the next ball being gold, since you would never had pick Box 3 in the beginning.
