I don't like Hammer (too superficial for me) but some of my friends swear by it. Porth is even more superficial.
Harrison and Goldman are disorganized garbage when it comes to pathogenesis or pathophysiology.
Especialty books can be good. For cardiology use Lilly.
If you're Huehue you can use the USP books. Their sections on pathophysiology have some depth.
