2) This is a matter of personal belief as to whether you think the downsides of modern technology outweigh the upsides, and ignores the fact that, for better or worse, we’ve evolved in such a way to technological progress is inevitable. It’s hard to have much positive influence on technological progress without understanding how it works.
3) This seems to equate “having a career where a mathematics background is useful” (read: any career that isn’t pure unskilled labor) with “being a mathematician”, which isn’t necessarily the case. Also, there’s no guarantee that AI will eventually surpass human intelligence, and if it does there’s still no guarantee that AI will be particularly adept at pure mathematics beyond what automated theorem provers can already do. Beyond that, if such an AI is possible, there’s no telling when it will be developed or if we’ll develop it before we go extinct anyway.
