This is a thread where you can ask your personal medical questions. since Medicine General does not offer advice.
Obviously be aware you should not use any advice online as the end all be all but use this thread for questions if you feel the need to ask.
I'll start:
I had a sexual encounter with a girl last Friday. We only had oral sex but her vaginal fluids did touch my hand which then touched my penis. Then 2-3 days later (I say that because the encounter was Friday night to sat morning) I started feeling like a little sick. Since then I've had muscle aches, been a little tired, and have had some chills. I have not had a stuffed nose or a fever or any of that.
I am freaked out like crazy that I have HIV/Aids because I know one of the symptoms is flu like symptoms. I literally cannot stop thinking about it and it's driving me crazy I want to cry.
Does anybody know if it's normal to get Aid's symptoms 2-3 days after? Are AIDs symptoms usually more intense flu-like symptoms. I am hoping that I am just a little sick but I am freaking out and I'm afraid that's making it worse. I saw that symptoms would be expected to start 2-4 weeks after the exposure but maybe this is a freak case?
Are there any doctors here who know AIDs patients who can say what the chances I have it are?
