>>14333233Fellow autists, I did some actual research. And I found the answer. This also rules out trannies from being women:
"The crucial role of the Y chromosome in man
became evident in 1959 from chromosoIIlill
analysis of two disorders: Klinefelter syn-
drome and Turner syndrome. Individuals with
Klinere!ter syndrome have two X chromosomes
and a Y chromosome (XXY) as discovered by
Jacobs and Strong in 1959, but clearly have a
ma1e phenotype, although this is incompletely
developed (p. 384). Even the presence of several
X chromosomes does not result in a female phe-
notype as long as one functional Y chromosome
is present. In contrast, individuals with Turner
syndrome have only one X chromosome and no
Y chromosome (45)<0) discovered by Ford et al.
in 1959, but nevertheless show a feIIlille pheno-
type, although it is inmmpletely developed and
usually acmmpanied by malformations (p. 384).
Thus, the Y chromosome is required to induce
male development" ("Color Atlas of Genetics"- Passarge, pg. 362).
