>>14330867the vast majority of abortions happen by itself
but who's gonna check if you don't even know you're pregnant and had a spontaneous abortion? people underestimate how difficult it is to become pregnant. if you have millions of sperm cells per mL you are eligible to be certified infertile. fertilized eggs have dna recombination issues and die in the double digit cell stadium. fertilized eggs don't embed into the placenta all the time. the earlier you are in your pregnancy, the more likely is that your baby will abort by itself with no apparent cause.
i'm not pro abortion though. everyone who reads this had the chance to be born and make their own way.
i argue with a fairness argument. everyone deserves a chance, even though nature is unfeeling, heartless and inexorable.
people die all the time. a fetus isn't a person. us investing human qualities into clumps of cells is as self centered projection as doing it with inanimate matter. but we all deserve the chance to make something with the DNA we were given.
also most people think like literal full grown 9 month babies are born into meat grinders to make stem cells. stem cell research is one of very few lines of human cells that originated decades ago and were kept alive in petri dishes and deep freezers. get a grip, medical advancements are also important.
