Well that's easy, they're narcisists who tow the current perception lords narrative because they know they won't get backlash and other idiots will agree with them. They don't want to be right, they want to appear right, nor actually do good but to appear to be doing so. This is to justify their inflated and completely misfounded view that being highly educated means you are also magically highly intelligent, way back in the day their would have been the priest class.
