>>14324908social patterns are a) highly complex b) often irreplicable person to person and c) often irreplicable from environment to environment. what youre saying is essentially true, as a sperg myself ive used my pattern recognition abilities to learn much of social behaviors. this is what makes us "high functioning," people who cannot do this at least to some extent are generally lower functioning (although being legit "low functioning" usually refers to ability to speak, etc).
socially, i feel like an AI. a decent AI, no doubt, but that doesnt quite match a real human being. i dont feel totally like a person in the way that other people seem to feel (which in itself has taken me quite some time to realize). it makes me KILLER in business/work/academic settings, since i basically know the script and can play it well. but free form social interaction is draining as fuck. even at a party, id much rather have some role (bartender, dj, etc) so i know "what to do," and social interaction then flows much more naturally from this. if i cant find anything like this, i try to sniff out a piano to play or a dog to pet
