most of the time when I'm holding a conversation I can't express myself properly and repeat myself and I'm aware of it as it's happening but the right words just don't come to me in time

do you ever talk to yourself? if you do and you can articulate yourself just fine then you probably just have crippling social anxiety
if you can't even talk to yourself then start with that

I gladly went to a debate club as a kid, talking with other people about rethoric and arguments about a lot of topics, plus having to expose myself to a crowd and having to express complex arguments meticulously, made me just good at it

Good idea, thanks. I sometimes record myself practicing my instrument, which helps notice things, I wouldn't otherwise. I'm sure the same applies here
