I started my course in Mathematics this present semester 2022 with the two goals of transferring to a 4-year university and then doing a Ph.D in Mathematics right after. Then trying the whole unsolved problems Mathematics list on Wikipedia besides teaching. It will take me 8 years with self-study in the summers. The plan looks fine and I know I can do it. But I'm off to a rough start. I have been doing bad in US History to 1877, a state university required course, and Pre-Calculus 1 itself. I might get B's, if not C's themselves. I'm taking 2 other classes. I was sick with Co-Vid 2 times in a row and missed study sessions. So far I've decided on the study system of drinking 5-7 cups of hot black coffee and spending 10 hours of preparation for each class. Will I be OK with this? The 6 cups of hot black coffee and 10 hours per class enough over kill? Another thing is my age. I'm 29 years old and I only started recently because I suffered 12 years of poorly treated schizophrenia. But now I take heavy doses of Zyprexa which makes the voices and delusions go away.
