They're relevant for pop culture and literature. Due to Freud's theories' unfalsifiable nature, they were never of concern for empirical psychology.

represents our head, interlligence, and is motivated more by long term goals

represents our chest, pride/shameand culture, and is motivated more by midterm goals

represents our stomach, appetite, and is motivated more by short term goals

it has some truth to it but like its some ancient knowledge, like you can't step in the same river twice level of stuff(locality), that'll always be true however we've moved on to more complex models but the overarching concept is still there but hidden behind multiple sub-concepts

I think the drone is simply offended by the observation that "empirical psychology" revolves around predicting and modifying behavior, but provides no real insight into the subject's internal experience. He feels threatened by the implication that other people have an internal experience at all, let alone by the suggestion that empiricism doesn't help unravel it.
