>>14315627>>14316083HAHAHA!!
I'm a thermal engineer (PhD) at a FAGMAN, working on everything from space, propulsion, fluid dynamics, cooling technologies for new transistors, and electronic, energy, & medical devices.
Math is extremely important, but all PhD level engineers know as much if not more practical math as an applied mathematician. We also find it interesting, so we can study it in our spare time for fun. We could do more math than a mathematician, but we find it boring.
>>14315722Absolute retard. I use everything from group theory to PDEs almost daily in my work. Sometimes I'll even publish if I have time.
If you wanna play with equations all day for no reason that's great! We do the same in our spare time. Math is like a hobby, it's not hard.
>>14316355>>14316359Larp, or those engineers were retarded.
Having physical intuition on engineering problems is hard. That takes experience, and makes you valuable.
