It's precisely *because* there's only one base that's required that we just call it "log". Everyone who isn't a child or an engineer uses log with the natural base tacitly understood.
If only 1 base is required, why need the "ln" notation in the first place? Exactly, you don't. After all, all bases are related by a constant factor so even computer scientists don't care. In fact computer scientists are the *most* uncaring about what base you take your logs in.
You're so out of your depth, it's frankly sad that you would take such an intense stance on something you know so little about.
