I am an absolute brainlet. I started my engineering program in 2018, and right now I am sort of in between second and third year. I might have to retake multivariable calculus and solid mechanics, which would set me back another year. Am I completely fucked, or should I just keep going?

I know a guy who took a decade to finish his engineering degree (not that uncommon in my country) and he's doing all right. Literally nobody cares about that.

Seen similar cases here. Minimum time is 5 years in my country, most people commonly take between 6 and 7 years, but some might take even longer. I know many fairly successful engineers who didn't graduate "in time", and I don't think anyone has ever gotten in trouble for taking too long to graduate.

In the united states you have 8 years to finish your b.s from the start date. After that you'd likely have to write an appeal to the dean of your college to grant your degree after 8 years. Its case by case basis. My genuine advice is to buckle down, treat it like a job and go to office hours every single week. good luck

I graduated in time with good grades and plenty of internship experience (last place I did hired me full time for the duration and sent me abroad to do a job on my own). Still couldn't get hired for over a year before getting a webdev job.

If you found any of the pre diff eq math courses difficult I would say you either need to try harder or go to something easier.
You can get into a trade and make good money. Infact, my electronics craftsman I work with makes more than me because of union BS.
