>>14308695These discussions are often aimless and littered with errors in conception. Qualia is a wonderful means of derailing any subject-related discourse. I am going on a limb and assuming you are not well-enough acquainted with the electromagnetic spectrum or visual perception systems to dive into the matter.
The meat of the issue comes down to what range of stimuli can excite their sensory systems, what is the sensitivity of differentiation between different characteristics of the stimulus, and whether or not there is any cross-interaction between the numerous endpoints of the sensory system. There is no means of interpreting qualia in any useful manner for discussion, and there is no linguistic word play that can get around this fact. Meaningful discussion can only be had on how different stimuli enter that black box of "qualia" and then alter the output, the observable and recordable reaction to the stimulation.
