The trouble with chiropractic practices is that while, in principle, the idea that misalignments of joints or vertebrae or tension in muscles can lead to other issues has some merit, chiropractic theories and treatments dip WAY too many toes into the "alternative medicine" kiddie pool and trying to treat it as a "cure-all" for stuff way outside its purview. I was friends, briefly, with a woman who runs a chiropractic clinic and while I can honestly say she's a mostly nice decent person, she's also a complete fucking fruit loop who buys into all that eastern medicine, meditative healing, spiritual restoration horseshit.
