Let the total ages of Nephews be denoted by N and the number of nephews denoted by X
Then their average ages are:
N/X = 10

Let C denote Charles' age:

(30 + N + C) / (2+X) = 14
30 + N + C = 28 + 14X
2 + N + C = 14X

Divide by X
N/X + C/X + 2/X = 14

Substitute N/X = 10
10 + C/X + 2/X = 14
C/X + 2/X = 4

Multiply by X and solve for X
C + 2 = 4X
X = (C+2) / 4

we now have the number of nephews Andrew has as a function of Charles' age. Keep in mind C and X are both integers
