Can mirages occur on convex surfaces? I was observing mirages recently while driving and I noticed they occurred only on flat or concave surfaces.

Nonsense. Tests have been done in frozen lakes to debunk the claim that refraction magically results in the earth appearing flat despite being curved.

Not a counter argument. Water behaves pretty much the same way at that elevation as it does at sea level. Over the distance, you should be observing some amount of curvature the same way it's observed over the same distance across the ocean.

things appear higher than they actually are on the surface of the water and your own damn photo proves it. unless you're retarded enough to think boats float, which wouldn't surprise me.

lastly, since this effect only causes stuff to appear higher, not lower, it means even one photo of something appearing below the horizon completely disproves flat earth.
