>>14302710Middle of the ocean? That's quite a distance. I can't think of a way you could do that with an accessible homemade boat. But I think your best shot at kilometer-long distance communications (both for control and for video) would be with an ESP + LoRa combination. Also, I don't think you'd be able to get any decent real-time images that way, so you'd probably need long-range LIDAR or radar devices to send you data to be used in a map interface at your navigation base, so that you could properly navigate the boat.
