acceleration adds distance and time, meter is a measurement for a distance second is a measurement for time
it also qualifies for deceleration if you're thinking in terms of 2 dimensional motion you're still moving from point A to B
For example a car can weight about maybe 500 tons just ex but the force might not be as big of an impact because its initial speed was going at 10 Mph (Miles per hour) mass a measurement for matter, and matter meaning anything that occupies space and has weight, it wont have much of a strong impact, on whatever it crashed onto
lets say you were too get hit by a car going at 10 mph the impact would be less because a lot of the force is contributed by the amount of kinetic energy / movement
if the car was going at 50 MPH you would be hit with much more force. I sound like pseudo intellectual ill let anyone correct me.
