And eggs attract predators. Rabbits fuck a lot too, but least they are fairly fast and nimble, and live in burrows. Chickens are slow, weak, stupid, they're a bird that can't fly, and they live in the wild by crouching under shrubberies for the night and hoping foxes or the 400 other things that eat them don't eat them.
The only logical explanation for their existence is an intelligent designer wanted humans to have a useful farm animal
