There's a guy on twitter who is investigating using, I'm not even making this up, the possibility of fecal transplants to change his gut biome to alleviate his autism symptoms. I think his theory is this may increase activity in the Vagus nerve which would result in pretty much the same symptoms as doing MDMA: positive social emotions, desire to socialize, and reduced responses to negative social stimuli. He also believes it will improve 'trust'. A mechanism through which it does this might be because the vagus nerve reacts to what's happening in your gut and can let serotonin precursors (I presume this is stuff like trptophan-3?) pass through the blood-brain barrier (while something like 90% of serotonin is in your gut, the serotonin in your brain is locally produced.

How does autism relate to chronic constipation exactly?

Parents suck at raising their children, feed them trash all time, then blame "autism" when the children can't poop anymore? Or is it fancy salesmen who convince low IQ people that spending some shekels for their overpriced 'therapies' will solve the problems?
