I have to use this shit in my phd project because everyone who came before me built up the simulations inside of it and it would take weeks of non-stop work to rebuild it in python or C++

I am here to shill Julia. The programming language, originally designed for numerical/technical computing.

It's fun to use. Lots of community package stuff too that makes it useable for me.

Desperately needs static typing and static compilation. And better documentation: if you wanna know about the formal syntax the answer is "just read the parser source code lol" (written in lisp btw).
