The Vulva Spaceship is designed to make a strong statement about gender equality in space, to move beyond the phallic representations that the industry is accustomed to. It underlines that anyone has a place in the universe, regardless of physical characteristics.
Dr Lucia Hartmann reports that the spaceship is surprisingly aerodynamic, creating way less drag when the vehicle punches through earth's atmosphere.
