Hi sci, usually just a browser here but I ask you to please help a young lost 22 year old figure out the next step. I'll try to keep this short:
Graduating next fall with a BSc Mathematics Major and a certificate in data science.
I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with this degree now and what I can do with it? Seems like not many options. I like math and pretty good at it so did that the past 4 yrs but made no post grad plans because I don't know what to do.
Thinking of trying to apply to go for a masters in data science, or maybe financial maths or financial technology, or software engineering if possible. I think I have to go for something with tech as a part of it too, so I would probably do one of those online bootcamps first to improve my computing skills since right now they are very minimal. Can anyone speak to any of these career paths? What would make the most sense are any of them more desirable than the others? Is there a better option that I didn't list?
I feel so lost and hopeless and have so many questions that I don't even know what my questions are. Feeling extremely envious of my close friends who are studying to be teachers or therapists, and of my boyfriend who has been doing accounting because they all have such clear paths and plans where I don't. Please help
