Dumbass here, been wondering about something for a bit.

So space is expanding outward meaning that at its edge it presumably has somewhere its moving into and occupying that did not contain space before space expanded into it. Logically this confirms the existence of spaceless regions which I think of like a spacial vaccume.

The speed of light is changes based on the medium its going through with its peak being in a vaccum.

This made me wonder. If lights speed is inhibited by raw space would light move faster if it were to travel through a spacial vaccuum. Say I have a Lazer and I'm sitting at the edge of the universe as it expands into the spacial vaccum. Would the Lazer exit space and then move faster uninihited by the laws of space or would it keep going at the same speed or just stop at the edge of space.
