If you could find a less expensive way to effectively allocate resources without a finance industry, implement it and cause it to be adopted, the finance industry would cease to exist without any bloodshed. If you can’t then even if you killed every interest-charger and rent seeker a new finance industry would be born to replace the old one before the bodies were in the ground.
It goes against my character to counsel against mass executions but in this case I think the outcome would be as disappointing as the means were satisfying.
