Did physicists really create a model that gave a 98% error and than just accepted the 98% error is part of the result with no evidence but simply because the model isn't allowed to be wrong?

Is this the scientific method?

Clearly we can take Occam's razor one step further than "yeah the universe is 98% stuff that you can't feel or see and yeah it's totally here all around us and has weight but you can't interact with it".

Yes and yes. What's the problem actually? It explains certain things very well to the point even if another model comes along and btfos it, it will still be used for many applied problems. Typically, models that overtake an old model, explain certain things much more elegantly, but are also more complex mathematically.

For examples, going from circles to ellipses for orbits. Most movements are much more simply explained with ellipses than circles, but no one can deny that a circle is simpler than an ellipse.

This started off because physicists saw there was a consistent error factor. They didn't know how to explain it but since it was consistent, creating an 'x factor' to be a placeholder for this unknown until the day comes that it is understood was reasonable. In the meanwhile, since it is consistent, we can make use of it. The problem started when people, including a lot of physicists, started taking dark matter to be a literal physical entity. It might be, it might not be. We don't know but lots of people act like we do.

Finish the sentence and everything becomes more clear. Dark Matter was created as an "epicycle" to keep the relativity lie alive, which in turn is done to keep the false legend of Albert Einstein the jewish super genius alive.
And now NASA has spent all of our money building a telescope to prove the existence of imaginary dark matter, thus solidifying the Einstein/jewish intellectual supremacy myth for all eternity.

They're called primordial black holes and people have been looking for them just as long as particle dark matter. Just because doesn't emit light doesn't mean it's undetectable. Large observational programs searching for gravitational microlensing ruled out black holes and other objects as dark matter over a huge range in mass. If only people on /sci/ would do the most basic research before posting their totes original ideas.

Why must the universe be dominated by stuff currently known by humans? Occam's Razor says that of two models with equal explanatory power the one with fewer assumptions is preferred. There is no model with equal explanatory power to standard cosmology. Occam's Razor is probably the most abused concept in science, it is a guiding concept, it does not tell you models are definitely wrong.
