Sup. I've slowly dissolved all the carbonates in my glass kettle with 25% acetic acid and then gravity-filtered the solution.
What acetic acid salt do you think would give the solution this limegreen colour? I suspected a predominantly amount of nickel acetate. When I dropped a few drops of dilluted sulfuric acid on the final crystals in a petri dish, they turned milky white. Which is not how I think nickel acetate would react.
