>>14274917Because lots of them do act like this. Before I switched to chem and was in ME, it was atrocious listening to some of them talk. It sounded like a whole bunch of nerds who got to middle school and leaned the word “fuck”. Everything was fuck fuck fucking fuck fuck, and how awesome they were compared to LibArts. One secret I did learn though that the this part of the internet lied was that the girls in my program were better than ~80% of the guys. They always had notes to share, would show me how they understood a problem, and wouldn’t try to act like they understood everything you just taught them, only for them to forget 3s later on a slightly tweaked version of the previous problem. I haven’t encountered that as much in chem, but I can say at least it was rampant in ME, and I’m sure lots of those people bump shoulders in the science community.
