object1 crashes into "crashobject".

Then, object2 crashes into crashobject.

object1 and object2 have the same shape, weight and velocity when they crash, but object2 has a higher acceleration.

Is there any significance to this or would the effect on crashobject be the exact same. Discuss.

There is no difference. The acceleration did not change the velocity at impact. The force applied to crashobject is the same in both cases.

Yes, because in reality, a collision is not instantaneous, and if the object has acceleration, there is an extra force involved, and it has time to make some difference.

yes but object 2 had more acceleration and thus more force(not more momentum at that point i suppose).

so you can imagine a wall for example and elastic balls. as both of the balls hit the wall they will similarly bounce away from the wall but because ball 2 has more acceleration it will bounce back against the wall thus changing the effect on crashobject. or am i drunk i dont know physics.

im pretty sure im right. say for example ball 2(object2) has top spin(tangential acc) and ball1 doesnt. as they bounce back ball2 goes back against wall(if sufficent top spin ofc)

I've already explained why you're wrong (>>14274446) and you haven't addressed it in any way. I guess it went over your head, so I can dumb it down for you even further: imagine a fully inelastic collision between moving object A, and static object B; if A's acceleration is nonzero, it means there is a force moving A, so after the collision, that force will be accelerating both objects. Clearly, that's a different outcome from having no such force. Real-life collisions are not fully inelastic, so you won't have that force accelerating both objects forever, but it's not instantaneous, either, so that force WILL have enough time to act and change the outcome.

Even if it doesn't continue through the entire crash, it's not going to stop abruptly as soon as the objects come into contact; it will continue acting until the propulsion mechanism is destroyed.

op here that was my thinking too. but im quite bad at le physics you see and was of the understanding that you always used momentum calc for collisions so im a bit confused.
