Why can't this work to solve the garbage issues of the world?

>sulfuric acid is able to dissolve most plastics used in plastic garbage
>have a pool full of sulfuric acid
>dump all the waste into the pool
>waste disappears
>repeat
>no more plastic waste problems

I mean you're sort of on to something, but it's a big shot. So sulfuric acid could burn plastic bottles down to sulfoacetaldehyde, which is able to be processed by a very fringe bacteria that allows it to crystalize taurine. This was found in a bacteria in a polluted lake in a paper I read. The problem is, how much will they eat and how many of them do you need? That's where it gets tricky...

World isn't running out of space for garbage, it's a cost issue not space issue and I can assure you trying to dissolve all garbage in acid would be ridiculously expensive.
