If we had shrink rays how much could it reduce the cost of getting things to space?

What other things could shrink rays be really useful for?

There are no benefits to miniaturising the crew or rocket or fuel. Mass cannot "shrink" and have physical laws hold.

Space can shrink, physical laws hold. Particles don't have size in any meaningful sense, they are points of density constrained in space by the sum of all forces with neighbouring points. The total shape is preserved, regardless of how the space they're bound to is being transformed.

Drag and gravity losses are pretty small. Consider that staying in LEO requires a velocity of ~7.6km/s, and the dV required to reach orbit (drag and gravity losses included) is ~9km/s.

Storage of all kinds of stuff. You could live in a city apartment and own a car you just shrink down when you get home and keep on the entryway side table next to your car keys. You could buy a home gym, then shrink it down and keep in a drawer for when you wanted to use it. You could have a massive library in a closet.
