Even if you say a kilo, that's still just saying 1000 grams. Instead, saying that's a whole pound, or a ton, or a gallon, is more impressive. The higher numbers sounds like you're trying to cobble together a bunch of tiny bitch ass things to make something useful or be impressive.
Also M/D/Y is superior and far more emotionally satisfying.
