Because a straight line on a sphere actually has a curve, theoretically, if there earth was a perfectly smooth sphere, then my pencil, designed to be evenly flat on the earth's surface, would actually have a infinitesimally small curve right?
So does that mean that flat thing we make is actually has a curve?
So when we shoot rockets into space, there's actually a bit of a curve to it because it's been distorted by our earthen frame of reference?
I'm freaking out right now
no one told me geometry was scary
