i went to uni to study math/stats at 26.
Am 29 now, almost done with it.
Was expecting it to be really hard so in the beginning i studied a lot but after the first year, once you get to know the ropes, you can strategically slack off on courses you don't care for.
For the most part, the knowledge it opens to you is worth it, however, if you have the willpower, it would be more efficient to self-study for 1-2 years only on the things that you actually care about. Granted, long term self-study is hard so it's understandable to enroll in uni in order to keep a fire under your ass
